Install the latest Win7 driver Available from ATI. Its recommended that u have to shut down your PC before connecting the second monitor to your cards. The only thing that u should note that, even brand new digital LCD monitors/TV are not Hotplug/Plug-n-play safe device. I'm not very sure with nVidia cards, but on ATI there are couple of issues regarding running dual monitors or more with Win7, but nothing crucial. What kind of VGA? ATI? nVidia? I'm running Win7 RC on my XFX ATI HD4850 VGA Card ( support up to 2 monitors ).

I'll consider adwicing my customers to do the same. It's so irritating and frustrating that if I don't get a quick answer on this issue, I'll put off the swich to Win 7, at least for the rest of this year.

I've tried installing only the driver from ATI, and I've tried installing the driver and the ATI Catalyst™ 9.8 Control Center - none of the alternatives works. I can find no way to make Win 7 aware of the other card and the other monitors. When I try to set up multiple monitors in Win 7 (Desktop-(right click)->Screen Resolution), Win 7 only recognise the one analog monitor on the card with standard VGA driver. I've installed the Win 7 driver for the HD 2600 card, and it comfirms this in device manager - both cards are recognised in device manager. For the Radeon 9250 there's no Vista or Win 7 driver from ATI, but a standard VGA driver is set up by Win 7.

I'm running Win 7 64-bit Ultimate (not beta or RC.) and am using a Radeon 9250 card on a PCI-slot with analog connection to one monitor, and a Radeon HD 2600 PRO card on a PCIe-slot with 2 digital connections to 2 other monitors. Ronnie Vernon MVP One would expect this to work, but it dosn't.
